Problem

A small amount of solution containing Na24\text{Na}^{24} radio nucleide with activity A=2×103 dpsA = 2 \times 10^3 \text{ dps} was administered into blood of a patient in a hospital. After 5 hours, a sample of the blood drawn out from the patient showed an activity of 16 dpm per cc t1/2t_{1/2} for Na24=15 hrs\text{Na}^{24} = 15 \text{ hrs} . Find: (1) Volume of the blood in patient. (2) Activity of blood sample drawn after a further time of 5 hrs.
