Problem

A vector a\boldsymbol{a} has the components 2p2p and 11 w.r.t. a rectangular cartesian system. This system is rotated through a certain angle about the origin in the counter clockwise sense. If with respect to a new system, a\boldsymbol{a} has components (p+1)(p+1) and 11 , then (1) p=0p=0 (2) p=1p=1 or p=−13p=-\frac{1}{3} (3) p=−1p=-1 or p=13p=\frac{1}{3} (4) p=1p=1 or p=−1p=-1
