Problem

A whistle of frequency 500 Hz moves directly towards a large stationary wall with a speed of 2 m s⁻¹. A person travelling with the whistle hears the sound coming directly from the whistle as well as the sound reflected from the wall. Calculate the beat frequency heard by the person. (Speed of sound in air = 340 m s⁻¹.)
