Problem

Two sources of sound are moving in opposite directions with velocities v1v_1 and v2v_2 ( v1>v2v_1 > v_2 ). Both are moving away from a stationary observer. The frequency of both the sources is 1700 Hz1700 \text{ Hz} . What is the value of (v1−v2)(v_1 - v_2) so that the beat frequency observed by the observer is 10 Hz10 \text{ Hz} ? vsound=340 m/sv_{\text{sound}} = 340 \text{ m/s} and assume that v1v_1 and v2v_2 both are very much less than vsoundv_{\text{sound}}. (1) 1 m/s1 \text{ m/s} (2) 2 m/s2 \text{ m/s} (3) 3 m/s3 \text{ m/s} (4) 4 m/s4 \text{ m/s}
