(a) Explain with suitable reasoning why the emergent ray from a prism bends toward the base of the prism, even when the prism is thin.
(b) If the apex angle of the prism is doubled while keeping the material unchanged, qualitatively describe how the angular deviation changes. Justify your answer without performing any numerical calculation.
