Problem

Two samples of linear magnetic material are measured at room temperature. Sample A has magnetic susceptibility χm=+2.7×10−4\chi_m = +2.7\times10^{-4} and sample B has χm=−1.66×10−4\chi_m = -1.66\times10^{-4}. ((a)) Find the relative permeability of sample A, to six significant figures. ((b)) Find the relative permeability of sample B, to six significant figures. ((c)) Find the permeability μ\mu of sample A, in T m A−1\mathrm{T\,m\,A^{-1}}, to five significant figures.
