Problem

A toroid of mean radius s=0.050 ms = 0.050\,\mathrm{m} carries N=600N = 600 closely and uniformly wound turns with a steady free current I=0.25 AI = 0.25\,\mathrm{A}. The toroid is empty (treat the interior as vacuum, M=0\mathbf{M} = 0). All quantities are to be evaluated at the mean radius. ((a)) Find the magnitude of H\mathbf{H} inside the toroid. ((b)) Find the magnitude of B\mathbf{B} inside the toroid. ((c)) The toroid is now completely filled with a linear material of relative permeability μr=1200\mu_r = 1200, the winding and the current being unchanged. Find the magnitude of H\mathbf{H} inside the core now.
