Problem
A flower vase is kept 30cm in front of a vertical plane mirror fixed on a table. The mirror is then slid 5cm towards the vase along the table surface.
(i) Find the position of the image of the vase with respect to the mirror before the mirror is moved.
(ii) Determine the new position of the image with respect to the original position of the mirror after it has been shifted.
(iii) Calculate the distance between the vase and its image after the mirror has been shifted.
