Problem

Two plane mirrors M1M_{1} and M2M_{2} are fixed at right angles to each other along their edges. A light ray strikes mirror M1M_{1} at a point P making an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} with the normal to M1M_{1}. (i) Draw the path of the ray as it reflects first from M1M_{1} and then from M2M_{2}. (ii) Calculate the angle of incidence of the ray on M2M_{2}. (iii) Find the angle between the initial incident ray and the final ray emerging after the second reflection.
