Problem

Rina walks in a triangular path that brings her back to the point she started from. First she walks 50 m50\,\text{m} due north, then 120 m120\,\text{m} due east, and finally along a straight path back to her starting point. Based on this information, answer the following: (i) Find the length of the third side of the triangular path. (ii) Calculate the total distance Rina walks to complete the whole trip. (iii) State the magnitude of Rina’s displacement after she returns to the starting point and give a brief reason for your answer.
