Problem

A single slit of width (0.090 ±0.002) mm(0.090 \,\pm 0.002)\,\text{mm} is illuminated with light of unknown wavelength. A screen is placed (1.50 ±0.01) m(1.50 \,\pm 0.01)\,\text{m} from the slit. The first minimum is measured at a distance of (9.7 ±0.3) mm(9.7 \,\pm 0.3)\,\text{mm} from the centre of the diffraction pattern. Determine the wavelength of the light and its absolute uncertainty, giving your answer in nanometres.
