Problem

Consider the function f(x)=sin⁡x cos⁡xf(x)=\sin x\,\cos x. (a) Prove that f(x)f(x) is an odd function. (b) Determine all zeros of f(x)f(x) in the interval [−2π,2π][-2\pi,2\pi]. (c) Sketch the graph of y=f(x)y=f(x) for x∈[−2π,2π]x\in[-2\pi,2\pi], clearly indicating intercepts and turning points. (d) Using your graph or otherwise, state the maximum and minimum values of f(x)f(x) and the corresponding values of xx at which they occur in [−2π,2π][-2\pi,2\pi].
