Problem

A car travels from town AA to town BB, a distance of 75 km75\,\text{km}, at a uniform speed of v km/hv\,\text{km/h}. After staying in town BB for 15 min15\,\text{min}, it returns to AA at a uniform speed of 60 km/h60\,\text{km/h}. The whole trip, including the halt at BB, takes exactly 3 h3\,\text{h}. (i) Write an equation in vv representing the total time for the journey. (ii) Solve the equation to find the value of vv. (iii) Calculate the total distance travelled by the car. (iv) Determine the average speed for the entire trip, including the halt at BB.
