Problem

Monochromatic light of wavelength 600 nm passes through a single slit 25 µm wide. Only the angular range from −5.0° to +5.0° about the central axis is observed on a distant screen. How many dark fringes (intensity minima) appear within this observed range? Count minima on both sides of the central maximum but do not count the central bright region itself.
